BM # 2

Seriously, did you think I was going to post about a "BM"?

Baby Maurer # 2 is on the way!

We are early in the pregnancy, due in May and couldn't be more excited...well, I am excited and Owen is super excited, but we're also in the midst of morning sickness which is why I have been a bad blogger lately! I have not been feeling that great and definitely tired beyond words.
we celebrated at California Pizza Kitchen as a family before we shared our news with anyone. Clara was excited about something, but we'll see how that changes when the new baby comes!!

We've shared our news with our family and our small group. We made a cute onsie for Clara to wear that bore the good news! It said "Smile, I'm a big sister". The picture below is of us sharing our news with GB and Lynn while they were here. They were pretty surprised!
We took a trip to Grandma and Grandpa Maurer's house with the onesie on it and of course they were thrilled as well!
To tell my mom, I sent the news on a Starbucks cup...that's how I told her about the first pregnancy--she was in town visiting another new babe in our family and we met for coffee and I had the Barista write "Congratulations Noni, grandbaby # 3 on the way." So I replicated that for her and sent it in the mail. She was thrilled.
So that's our news for now! In case you're trying to figure it out, our kids will be 17 months apart. YIKES!

GB with the Grandkids

So does anyone know how hard it is to get 4 kids 3 and under to sit still and look at the camera at the same time and smile when it's bed time? Virtually impossible. But here's the best of the pick. Lila Cadance, Clara Joy, Corey Allen and Oliva Grace. Oh yeah and one happy GB. This was the end of a very fun time with GB and Grandma Lynn. Thanks for coming to visit!

A Visit from GB & Grandma Lynn

My dad (AKA GB) and Grandma Lynn were in town for a week. Here's us stopping by for a quick visit after our trip up north to the cabin. Clara let GB give her the bottle for about 3 minutes and then she was done with that whole thing. It was cute while it lasted!
On Saturday all of the siblings & cousins got together to play at the splash park at the hotel they were staying at. Here's GB and Olivia
Owen was excited to have this bucket dump on he and Clara...she didn't really care for it much.
Clara really was screaming with delight...although her facial expresions don't match the happy sound! The JW Marriot definitely has a nice splash park & kiddie pool!

A Princess Turns 3

As many of you know, I love my niece Olivia!
I was there at her birth...and loved her more than I thought possible for her first years of life. I have even been quoted as saying that I wasn't sure I would love my own kids because of how much I loved her. Well, she turned three this week! I CAN HADLY BELIEVE IT. Rachael, my sister threw a wonderful Princess and Knights party hence the frilly dress and the fancy cake. Fun was had by all!

Rihno Ride!

This is Jim and Alice on the Rhino. A rhino is (in my own definition) an all-teraine vehicle. It was so much fun to go on a long ride with everyone from our group plus our fearless leader Scott (Amanda's Dad). As you can see in the picture, suzie the dog had a good time too!

You can't imagine the amout of dust we had on us! Clara had a lot of fun.

Clara fell asleep about 45 minutes after the ride began. We were going over HUGE bumps, our butts were lifting off the seats and she was still out. Hmmm, makes you wonder why she doesn't sleep that good at home!
This was a fire watch look out that was our destination for the rides. It was a beautiful view!

Family and Group Shot

This is Ashley, Shane and Hayden enjoying one of the most beautiful Aspen Trees. I honestly didn't know that we had Aspens in Phoenix. This was a very large grove that we stoped for the photo op on our Rhino ride.

Me and my fam. I love these two people.

This is a group shot of everyone from our trip! From left to right, Ashley, Shane and Hayden, Me, Owen and Clara, Jim and Alice, Nate, Amanda and James. These couples are all from our small group. It's a group of young marrieds--currently we're studying John. It's amazing to see how God works in each of us as we study the word. Additionally, back in June of 07 there was only 1 baby, now there are 7 babies between the ages of almost 3 and just 6 weeks! Outside of my immediate family, this group has been one of the most important things to me in the last year! Thanks for being such amazing friends everyone.

Trip Pictures # 1

Clara and Owen enjoying some time outside!
This past weekend we had the blessing to go up to our friend Deb and Scott's cabin which is about 30 miles south of Flagstaff Arizona. It was beautiful weather, beautiful cabin and SO MUCH FUN! We had great food, lots of laughter, more laughter, fun with the babies, game playing and hanging out. Overall, it was a great trip for us. It's the first time Owen and I have been "out of town" since last June.

Clara Joy, Hayden Michelle and James Clarence on Friday evening enjoying time just playing with toys. Hayden is walking (for almost 2 months, and she's only 10 months old) so she was the hardest to catch on camera!

This is James working on his crawling skills. He looks pretty cute in CAMO!

Hayden, again, she's hard to catch since she's pretty quick. She likes playing with her shoes.
