Praying for Stellan

Hey Everyone, if you'd like to join me in praying for this cute littl guy named Stellan that would be great! He's been sick for a while and is having surgery today. You can read more about his story and about the amazing faith of his parents at www.mycharmingkids.net

Easter Celebration

In our family, celebrating Easter is very special--because it's celebrating the most important moment in our history--the Resurection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although at this moment all the kiddos are too small to comprehend this great moment, we pray daily that they may come to know the darkness of their sin and separation from God because of it, but also the sweet grace that the death of Jesus Christ covers them with! For now though, this is how they celebrated Easter. Just so every one knows, the kids pictured are Clara Joy, Lila Cadence, Olivia Grace, and Corey Allen.
We went to Aunt Jessica's house on Friday to Dye eggs...dying eggs with 4 children under 3 was a special experience. Thanks to Jessica for taking on this messy task!

On Saturday Noni arrived in town...although I didn't get any pictures of her with our kids!

We went to church early early on Sunday. Uncle Owen got all the kids up & fed at Rachael & Corey's house while the three of us went to church to rehears for worship & special music. We sang a version of "My Jesus I love Thee"

We ALL went home and took long naps and were back at Rachael's house for Easter Dinner--and of course an all out Easter Egg Hunt. Thanks to Rachael for her extra work in preparing 96 stuffed Easter Eggs. Rachael also planned a meal for our whole family--We were especially excited to have Grandma Jo and Papa (Corey's Parents) here to celebrate Easter. We realized that it was the first time we had 3 sets of in-laws together, the Whites, The Robins, and the Maurers!

Spring Sweetness & Pregnancy Updates

Here are a few snapshots of Clara lately. As you can see she's looking less like a baby and more like a little girl every day. The dresses are all from Grandma Joy. She took us shopping last week and bought several dresses and a special Easter outfit which I am sure will be featured here soon! Not the greatest picture of me and Clara together, but there are so few of us together that I got to take what I can get!
We had a sweet spring doctors appointment today. Baby Maurer is measuring perfectly! We have been praying this whole pregnancy that this baby wouldn't be exhibiting signs of Intra-uterine Growth Restriction like Clara did. It seems like at this point we'll definitely have a baby over 5 lbs which was what we were hopping for. Praise the Lord.
We did have a little scare last night. I have a little cold and am feeling pretty uncomfortable so Owen agreed to take Clara for the evening. I went to sleep and when they got home for bath time I got up to help...well I started having contractions and they didn't stop and didn't stop. We ended up going to OB Triage and got monitored. I was having contractions every 2-5 minutes and so they checked me, with no "progress" I was given a lovely shot of tributelene, makes you shaky and uncomfortable but definitely stopped the contractions. So we went home. Doctor said that if we can make it through 1 1/2 more weeks, he doesn't mind letting things continue if I have contractions like that again! Woot Woot.

The Bob

Here are some pictures of THE BOB

Clara and Dash really enjoyed their two walks in THE BOB today. For any of you mommies with two out there, I highly recomend this product. It is worth the price tag for so many reasons.
  • It fits through standard doors
  • It has a swivel wheel or fixed wheel option
  • It's cool lookin
  • It's easy to fold
  • Steers like a dream
  • can hold up to 108 lbs (that's a lot of kiddo!)

So needless to say I love my new stroller. Thanks again, Mom & Mark, Dad & Lynn, and Tom and Joy for giving us this great gift!

To Grandpa Tom from Clara Joy

Happy Birthday Grandpa
I thought I would share a couple of my favorite memories with you on your special day. This is you when you first met me on my birthday. You look pretty happy! You don't have your goofy smile on!

This is me and you playing after a nap at your house. You like to bounce me on your knees.

This is you and Grandma acting like the paparatzi. I like getting all of your attention! You sure do take a lot of pictures of me.

This is us after you took Grandma, mommy and Daddy out to a yummy meal. See...there's your goofy smile. This is us hanging out in my front yard after my first birthday party. You helped me unwind after all of the party fun. It was fun to play with you and show you all of my new tricks. Thanks for being my grandpa and I hope you have a very happy birthday! I love you, Clara Joy
